Join us for a trip to 1850s Paris to ponder these questions with special guest European art curator, Gloria Groom.

Gloria Groom, Chair and David and Mary Winton Green Curator or Painting and Sculpture of Europe at The Art Institute of Chicago, will address these questions and give an illustrated talk exploring the relationship between fashion and modern art at the end of the 19th century when Paris was becoming the style and art capital of the world.

*Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Arizona, face masks are required when attending events hosted in Whiteman Hall and Singer Hall at Phoenix Art Museum. Face masks are strongly encouraged throughout the remainder of in-door Museum spaces.
