ACI GOES TO LONDON

Several members of ACI journeyed to London for seven days to explore some of the best fashion exhibitions, collections, design studios and historical sites in the world. Starting with a behind-the-scenes tour of Philip Treacy's design studio and The Fashion & Textile Museum then ending with Victoria & Albert's Alexander McQueen exhibit and a unforgettable dinner with Dame Vivienne Westwood- the highlights from this trip are truly beyond measure.

A few other noteworthy experiences were a behind-the-scences tour of the collection at Kensington Palace where the group learned about many legendary royal garments from Curator Matthew Storey. ACI members also took a day trip to Bath to see the Fashion Museum and the Roman Baths.

Arizona Costume Institute goes on a fashion themed trip every year with Phoenix Art Museum's Curator of Fashion Design, Dennita Sewell. From New York and San Francisco to England and Canada, the fashion tour destination changes annually and is one of the many special benefits of joining our organization.
